The main objectives of The Training Co-operative

 

The objectives are:
 
1.    Collaboration, standardisation and consolidation of training resources
6.    Remove duplication and waste and focussed a combined effort.
6.    Make use of the latest technologies to deliver fast effective knowledge sharing.

2.    Create a national Centre of Excellence
6.    iPPSA is bringing together a group of global businesses to fund and support this facility.

3.    Publish a definitive list existing training courses all in one place.
1.    Include feedback, a scoring mechanism, costs, discounts for members,
1.    dates and links to external sites.

4.    Develop a set of 12 annual workshops for Print Buyers.
2.    Run one per month.
2.    Record buyers attendance.
2.    These workshops will enable employees new to the industry to have a set method for development.

5.    Record skill levels for staff in production companies
3.    Set targets for employees to reach within agreed time scales.

6.    Mentoring for young people entering the industry
3.    Introduce scheme in all iPPSA printers and suppliers first.

7.    Professional print buyer qualifications from The Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply
4.    CIPS and The Training Co-operative are creating a milestone process so that CIPS
4.    can expand on existing transferable skills and create professional qualifications for print buyers.

8.    Government Funding
5.    To make it easy to apply for and get funding and to understand what funding is available.
